Semi-Micro GPC/SEC in HFIP

July 12, 2011, C. Dessy,

HFIP is an excellent solvent for polymers such as PET, polyamides, polylactides, etc. Unfortunately, HFIP is both very agressive, so that no device manufacturer garantees the function in HFIP, as well as very expensive. Therefore, the best method to obtain good results and save solvent is the application with the semi-micro column with a diameter of 4mm and at a flow rate of about 0.25 mL/min. The WGE devices have proven exemplary in applying this method.

HFIP Chromatogram
The results obtained at a flow rate of only 0.3 mL/min and an injection volume of 10μl emphasize the performance and quality of our pump, autosampler and RI detector. You want to know more? Contact us!
